It appears that Harrison is not afraid to take a little (or big) bite out of whomever he is at war with. When one little game they were playing turned for the worse I heard Gwen screaming and when I got to her she was crying and Harrison was hiding, a sure fire way to know he is guilty, Gwen was saying that Harry bit her body.
I turned her around and found this…but in a little more raw form. ( This is actually the next day photo).
Harry had to bite the soap for that one, and lets just say that we have not had any problems with biting since.

ouch! Maybe it has something to do with the 2nd child. Hannah doesn’t bite but she does everything else and doesn’t care who it is or how big of person it is. She pushes 8-10 year olds over at parks and play areas. It’s embarrassing! Good luck!
Poor Gwen!! He took quite the bite out of her. I’ll remember to stay out of his way!
Seth is a hair-puller. He gets gobs of it before I can break it up. Any suggestions?
Ouch! Eric bit Kaitlin (when she was 6-9 months) when the two of them were sitting in a cart at Costco. I was so mad- being in a public place saved that boy’s hide! I’m glad to hear that soap works- I’ll have to remember that one.
Ouch! Poor Girl! Her hair is so long and beautiful, I’m jealous!
Holy cow! That’s impressive! Well, Ethan just cowardly crouches and cries if he is feeling threatened. (Even if it’s just a child coming to give him a hug.) At least Harry can defend himself.
oh man, Harry really got her good, didn’t he? At least you know that kid can defend himself.
What a great punishment, biting the soap. Let the punishment fit the crime, I say. I’m going to have to remember that one.
P.S. On a side note, Gwen has the most gorgeous hair I’ve ever seen.
Hey Gwennie, that is one big bite, was Harry hungry or just a bit upset? Way to go Lonna. Tell Gwennie wounds heal and I hope she doesn’t have to get a shot. Ah! the biters. Every once in a while actions speak louder than words, and it’s usually because they don’t have those words that the action happens. But the lessons can be learned very early and be very effective. Hope all is well now, and that they are friends again. By the way, Gwennie’s hair is getting very long and beautiful.
We have had biting problems too…what a good idea to have them bite soap! Wish I had heard that earlier. usually biting happens when the child is frustrated.
It looks like you took a, “bite out of crime.” HA HA. Old school, and still effective.
Megan had a taste of soap one day, and that was all it took.
P.S. I think snow day #5, could be the tipping point, to bad it is snowing 10-20 inches tonight. Ask me how snow day #8 is.
I LOVE that you had Harry bite soap. Lonna… have I told you lately that I miss you. I think that you are my favorite!
I wish you were closer. I Kenna had a little biting phase, her and Harry would have gotten a long real nice.
I think you could submit Gwen’s back to a dentist and make a pretty good impression of Harry’s teeth…I can see the outline of each one! Poor girl! Though if my memory serves me correctly it’s not the first time Harry has “bit her body”. Nothing like a younger sibling to toughen you up…:(
I always wonder about the position of the biting, we’ve seen stomaches and arms but the back would be a new one. It appears you and I have been exposing our kids to a little too much WWE–or you know, last Saturday I found Ryan and the kids watching ‘Teen Wolf.’ Perhaps that has sparked some creativity in the violence department…
I love the idea of the biting the soap-effective for any mis-deed those little mouths can think of. What a brilliant parenting move! I am totally using that one next time. Now if you can think of a solution for Olivia’s hair pulling we’re set!
Ouch Ouch Ouch! That is a horrible bite! Soap is a great idea, that is what my mom used for swearing.
Wow! I didn’t know Harry had it in him!
harry and avery are out of the same mold. she is a biter – but only to tyson. so weird. that looks like a bad bite.
