L-A-Z-Y tell you what it means to me

DSC00919This past week James had the chance to head to a basketball game with some friends from our ward, so while he did that we took the chance to meet up with Christa, Lexi, and Brooklynn at good ol’ Chuck E. Cheeses. Harry was so excited when the giant Chuck E. came out to greet the crowd that he ran straight for him and hugged him at the knees. It was really funny. I didn’t think that he was interested in him but I was wrong.

DSC00920Gwen also went for the hug. Maybe we should be giving our kids more hugs if they are looking to the giant mouse for hugs.  I think it is really funny that the kid behind Gwen (who is probably her same age) is giving the peace sign while Gwen is running up for a hug. Just so you know the kid in the striped sweater in the background was totally taking the tickets from the little kids games. shame shame.

Amidst our Chuck E. Cheese pasttime we have managed to fill our days with not a whole lot. For some reason this new year I have been more than a little on the lazy side. I am not saying that I have managed to not do laundry or the dishes or clean up our house, I still get all the things done that I need to, but I just feel…lazy.

I am however looking forward to a little trip we will be taking in February to my brothers wedding. The last of the brothers to wed and he has chosen a cold winter month to do so. Oh well at least it will be a fun trip out of our everyday blah blah blah.  Now onto my point of the wedding. I need to find something for my kids to wear, the colors are a deep green color ( like the color of a rose stem) and a chocolate brown.  I think that I have found a tie for Harrison it is just a dress for Gwen that is driving me nuts. Having said that my friend Jennie found this skirt that I totally adore and I think that I might make it for Gwen. Please take a look and tell me if you think that this could be wedding worthy for a three year old.  I can’t wait to hear some feed back so lets hear it.

I have managed to sew a few things in my laziness so I guess that sewing is kind of considered lazy in the fact that I do it while I am in comfy clothes.  Speaking of lazy I have some laundry that can no longer wait to be done as in Mr. Barlow will have no clothes to wear tomorrow if I don’t get started. Whoops.

I love the skirt! Yes, definitely wedding worthy. That project looks kind of ambitious. Ruffles with chiffon? Let me know how it goes.

The skirt is BEAUTIFUL…TOTALLY wedding worthy and gorgeous. Can you make one for me too?! ;)

And…sewing does NOT qualify as lazy! I can’t even sew a button on for heaven sake! Lazy is staying in bed on the laptop in your pjs at noon…oh wait, that’s me right now….

Hey! Did you know the girl who does that website “dana-made-it” is in our stake?? She lives up in Georgetown and is the wife of Matt’s newest friend (he’s the ward missionary of his ward). Very crafty chicka! And you should have come with us to the museum this morning, it was a good time and would make you feel more adventurous! Maybe we should try for the zoo another day :)

ok, it sounds like you’re being anything BUT lazy. Sewing, laundry, clean house?? I mean seriously, I would hate to see what you’re busy looks like.

P.S. That skirt looks so darling and i hope you make it. Gwen would look fabulous in it. Also I know weddings are crazy, busy times but, we’d love to sneak in a Juniper run with you if you can squeeze it in…

I LOVE the skirt! Can you make my girls one?? Seriously?? We have Joe’s brother’s wedding in June, and the colors are a lighter green, brown, and cream, so similar. Seriously I want two. Oh and by the way, I may be in Austin for the summer again, get ready to keep me busy b/c I’ll need it.

I think that the skirt is super cute. I want to start sewing. It seems to be a super skill to have.

I think the skirt is really cute and not too casual for the wedding. Lazy is just fine….sometimes you just need to sit and catch up with yourself!

I also think the skirt is darling. So I think you should make it. And by all means bring it with you. It doesn’t look hard at all unless the fabric is slippery like tricot. We love your adventure to the Cheese Mouse house. We can’t wait until you get here. Lovesies

I’m totally that kid in the background stealing the tickets. You have to pull equally on both sides of the ticket or it will tear at the perforation. It’s an art.

P.S. Kim thinks the skirt is nice — why don’t you make Megan one while you’re at it, and bring it on your road trip to D.C.?

Lonna, I bought my two nieces frilly skirts very similar to that in December or January right after Christmas at Old Navy. They came in various colors, and I think solid brown was one of them, for $22 each I believe. I love the multi-colored brown too.
