We have not been up to very much around here since the holiday buzz has ended, but a few things that we have been spotted doing look like this…(yes Sierra, Gwen is slightly obsessed with your blog, especially the ones of Abby in the ER.)
My sister Lisa sent the kids a new world of play-doh. Well they pretty much think so. Hours of some days are spent mixing the colors and crimping it into new shapes and molds. It gets a little messy but I can’t argue against it when the kids get along so well while playing with it. Thank you Lisa and thank you play-doh.
We filled a pinata to the brim on New Years eve and headed over to Ryan and Leslie’s for the evening, 99% of my pictures were blurry due to running and bouncing kids or someone stepping into the shot at the last second, but that really doesn’t matter too much because it was lots of fun. I think that I would enjoy a pinata on pretty much any day of the week.
So basically not too much going on for us, but everywhere I turn I run into that good ol’ “New Years Resolution” talk. I have to say that I have never really set a goal that I felt was something that I really wanted, or wanted to do. So during this time of the year when that seems to be the topic of conversation I am at a loss.
Maybe I just need to make a little list of ideas and that could jump start me into the swing of things…
I think that I could go for more naps in my life, there never seem to be enough of those.
I suppose that learning a new skill would and could be handy, when I come up with one I will let you know.
Eating better seems to be on everyones list so I could implement that one I am sure. Hmmm. After having typed some of these I have decided that I just need something that I am really excited about. Something that I would really be able to stay motivated to complete…If you have any ideas or something from your list let me know, maybe we could try something together. Lets hear what you are doing during the year 2010 and maybe your ideas will inspire me too. After all there are only 357 days left so I guess I better get movin’.

Play-do and pinatas in the same week, that’s amazing! Now I am really missing Texas!! Looks like a blast!!
Hope you find a great resolution and when you do, forward it to me cause I am at a lack of ideas myself..sorry no real input here! Happy 2010!!
Your house is beautiful BTW.
I personally think that this year is your knitting year.
Resolutions aren’t really my thing. but play dough and pinatas? Those are things I can get excited about.
I don’t usually have a New Year’s resolution. Maybe that is a bad thing, but I make new resolutions all the time and then break them. Maybe this years resolution should be to finish a resolution…
That tub of Play-doh is pretty much awesome! And the fact that its probably almost all brown from all the mixing is all the better! They are so cute!
Jonathan and I are feeling the same, once you come down from the High of the Holiday’s it seems like nothing is going on. It takes a little while to figure out that this IS actually what life was like before all the fun.
As for a News Years resolution, I heard someone at work say they were going to live “The way of the Dog” Basically to be relaxed and chill all the time.. I liked that one!!
How about a resolution to buy more play-doh?
That play-doh looks awesome. Resolutions never were my thing either. But it’s because I am very realistic about myself. If you make a goal and you don’t write it down, read it often, and remember why you have chosen it, it is just a wish. And I wish for lots of things but and content in my life of work and God’s blessings.
Sounds nice to me. I’m so glad Gwen loves our blog…at first I was confused by the picture of Weston on your blog…but don’t worry I figured it out. How sweet of her. And we love play doh around here too and got the same hamburger set. I really need to make a trip out there to see you guys soon.
